fifty years ago, an oil drilling incident opened a fissure in the ground: humanity took to calling it the Rift, a physical manifestation of our worst fears. the effects weren’t immediate, but they were lethal – deep in the belly of the Rift, Dread woke up. monsters swarmed the earth, oozing fear and threatening life as we knew it. even humans themselves began to change under the influence of this fear: small anomalies, mutations, powers. the world, we learned, was ill-prepared for Dread.
