The city of Kairos, Oregon was ground zero for one of the most important, life-changing events to affect the world.
No one expected the explosion that caused the sudden emergence and spread of anomalous individuals that now make up a sizeable percentage of the world. Once a small port town, it is now home to one of many containment facilities made to house these individuals in the wake of their criminalization. The population of this city finds itself divided in more ways than one, with many agreeing with the life sentences given to the many people imprisoned for the abilities they didn't ask for, and just as many thinking they should be freed- And of course, despite it being such a divisive topic, there are still many anomalous individuals evading capture and hiding in plain sight amongst the city's inhabitants.

The Paradigm Shift is a futuristic server set in a world where people with abilities are criminalized. Character options are flexible, allowing you to have anything from a person from an alternate universe that fell through a wormhole, to someone who simply woke up one day to find they had superpowers, or many things in between.
There are even multiple groups you can join, from Paragon, a so-called "pro-anomaly" group that manipulates the people it 'protects' and teaches them how to kill, to working in the containment facility on the outskirts of the city. Or, you could just be a normal person caught in the middle.
