For decades, Gotham City has been considered one of the most psychologically fascinating cities in the world. A graduate psychology student at Gotham University becomes obsessed with a single question: What makes someone evil? What begins as an academic study soon develops into a citywide investigation into the minds of Gotham's most infamous figures. The student examines the psychological profiles of individuals such as The Joker, Harley Quinn, The Penguin, Two-Face, and Scarecrow, seeking to understand whether evil is born from trauma, circumstance, ideology, or choice. As the research expands, comparisons are drawn to notorious figures outside Gotham, including Lex Luthor, Wilson Fisk, Doctor Doom, and Magneto.
