The Nation-states of Staggarath have come to know three things; Magic is Vile, The Night is Dark, Nobility is True. Before this age where the Night is Dark and full of monsters, the Church of Ignis and the Crown of Staggarath decreed practitioners of Heathen Magic be put to death. It was 150 years ago when the night went dark save for the lonesome moon, and the Church's Faith and Divine Light could no longer fend off the monsters in the dark. The Nobility of the land, for their own purposes, suggested they take up the Practition of Magic. With reluctance, Crimson Sigil Academy was formed to help defend the Nation from the Night. The Church still loathes Magic, the Night is starting to become more dangerous, and the Nobility have become restless in pursuit of power.
