1700 Tensions between nations have been forced into temporary stability due to the lethal shift of their world. The contamination zone. It's controlled in Zenoia, but that doesn't make it any less formidable. People who wander into the abyss are rarely the same. Infected people die within six months, or transform into monsters. Black ooze infects the waters, the land tainted by its corruption. For now, it's controlled. The possibility of it spreading is an unfortunate reality the nations must face.

An uneasy peace has settled over the lands of Westeros. As King, Maegor Targaryen remains surrounded, facing challenges both within from his nephew Aegon the Uncrowned and without from the High Septon’s many pious followers who grow emboldened with the death of the dragons.

Although the Great Houses of Westeros still swear fealty to King Maegor, loyalties shift outside his watch. Maegor may count upon the Riverlands, who wish not for their rivers to run red, and the Vale may remember how Maegor defeated the kinslayer’s rebellion, but in the Reach the Faith grows stronger. It is unclear if House Tyrell can hold onto Highgarden against those who covet it.

The North and Iron Islands remain as isolated, both in a position wait out the fires of war or revel in chaos while the West and Stormlands may also break away for their own personal interests, avoiding a great war lest the Dornish or the Ironborn take advantage.

Beyond it all, Dorne stands strong, unbent and unbroken. It has the opportunity to take advantage of the chaos and watch the dragon fall, but if they overextend themselves they could be at the mercy of a greater evil.

Despite having been built in Fire and Blood, the realm seems to teeter on the precipice of chaos.

Echoes in The Rift is a fantasy roleplay server with close knit D&D aspects. The story revolves around what the the players make, allowing for a more free form roleplay with a main story in the background. The server has two roleplay style options. Casual, meant for more chill slice of life stuff. And Adventure, where you mix in questing as well as casual level rp.

This is a new server, and we have a maximum of 10 Kingdoms that we will be accepting into the world. However different Houses and Factions will always be available to make.

We also run a specific Quest experience where anyone can submit a quest and run it, not just a moderator or writer. Giving players more creative freedom to have their own fun without waiting on moderators. Main Scenario Quests will be run by moderators.

The Main Scenario consists of Rifts having been appearing in the world for nearly 83 years, swallowing entire towns and leaving black voids behind in the world. No one knows when, where, or how these appear. They arrive without warning, and rip away the landscape. No one has ever returned from inside of a Rift.

Alongside the Rifts, there is rumors floating around that the gods are fading. Dying. Those believing in them hear less and less each passing day, and miracles become few and far between. Some people claim this is a test from the Gods, while others believe the Rifts have something to do with the fading voices of the divine.
