News anchors reporting city and state-wide about the apparent death of the Joker. But is it real, or the world's biggest April Fools prank? While civilians party and celebrate, the heroes of Gotham alongside the GCPD are trying to figure out if the Clown Prince of Crime really /is/ dead, or if it's all just a ploy to make way for their impending doom.

Explosions are set off all across the city. A deadly gas is released into the air.

GOTHAM CITY IS LOST IN A CLOUD OF TOXIC GAS.

In the midst of chaos, a new problem arises. Thanks to Scarecrow and a few others, the city has been submerged in a cloud of toxic gas and is under a city-wide quarantine. The gas is thick, and the air doesn't seem to be clearing anytime soon. Citizens are advised to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary.

gotham has fallen. despite the vigilante’s best efforts, the court of owls has once again come out on top and civilians have reported gotham to become a cesspool for talons. batman? he went missing at the loss of gotham, and the government has cut gotham off from the rest of america yet again. they’re on their own.

his sidekicks, his children and those he allies himself with are buckling under the weight of having no batman and matters are only made worse by the disappearance of the eldest child, nightwing.

gotham needs all the help it can get, and the remaining vigilantes must work together to slowly take back their city. will they succeed or will they buckle under the pressure placed upon them?
