Set in 2011, on the fictional continent of Argartha 10 years after a devastating war engulfed many of its nations in anarchy, plagued by bandits and warlords. Only a few settlements remained untouched.

A decade later, The Fringe reasserts itself, as warlords, having consolidated their domains. Look outward, much to the caution of larger factions. Outlast and outwit them they must!

Whether you're a sheltered citizen of The City who has never held a gun in their life, a battle hardened mercenary skilled in both Discipline and gun, or a farmer just trying to survive in The Fringe, you can be whatever you desire here. Whether a normal person, an Awakened person with their own powers, or perhaps even a Parahuman, seeking their place in the world after the destruction of their homeland.

For as long as we could remember, our world has never been normal. The greater population had been filled with what could be considered the closest to our own world; simple people with no powers, just their own goals and visions in life. While making up nearly 80% of the population, they were never the ones in control of our history.

Like a fairy tale, people were born with magical gifts, abilities that couldn't be explained with science. They'd quickly flood the streets with their gifts, filling the world with both amazement— and fear. These people would be classified as a new form of human, called: Bound.

Considered by the general public as freaks of nature, Bound individuals would be ostracized, considered lesser than in the constant face of prejudice. However, when an unsightly force called the Untethered begin causing trouble, it became clear that the only people who can stop them were the Bound.
