Xehanort got what he wanted. The worlds returned to darkness…and yet, somehow, light still held on. Those who had gathered there that day were picked off one by one, leaving Sora, Donald, and Goofy to face off against Xehanort. Despite winning the fight, it was too late. He had opened Kingdom Hearts, their fight was meaningless, they lost.

Light became weak, surrounded by shadow, those who were aligned with the light that day now lie asleep in stasis; their hearts waiting to be awoken.
