Magic has aided in the invention of a cleaner energy source. The streets are clear of smog, and sickness isn't so rampant. The fashion isn't the same, nor are the gender roles. Although guns have been invented, old-fashioned melee weapons are still used due to their ability to channel magic in a more creative and flexible way.
