This server takes place in a universe/multiverse separate from any specific cannon. Its cannon is its own, though we will be pulling primarily from the films. Personally, I am very interested in exploring a world that functions much like the setting we see in "Logan" with a more grounded feel, though we will likely be pulling character backgrounds and histories from comics, other movies, etc to fill in blanks.

As for the timeline, this rp will be taking place during the beginning of the fall semester of 2015. Keep that in mind when filling out your character sheet, as well as when rping, since the culture and technology will be from about ten years ago.

❄️ Tempered Power: IL is a fantasy RP that doesn't quickly become a super hero RP. Each player character is relatively grounded to inspire collaboration with others both IC and OOC. No one here will be playing cosmic time traveling furry demon gods, our magic is akin to Fire Emblem or what you might otherwise find in a standard RPG.

Power comes from working together, not overpowered magic swords and curses for individuals. This is a highly collaborative RP where players can interact in six distinct kingdoms that are fleshed out, yet malleable enough to change by working alongside fellow players to make change happen.

🔥 Characters & Community: Players are encouraged to create diverse lifestyles for each of their characters. We've got an original magic system and a unique take on fantasy races you won't find in most fantasy settings.

Go on adventures, play royal power games, make your own faction, raid villages, maybe summon an eldritch monstrosity, or get your slice of life vibes going by chilling on a country farm or in a city tavern. There is no "main quest", the world of Imperial League is what you and your peers make of it. All plotlines both small and large, personal and global, are welcome!

🌲 Adults Only: The server is for players 18+ ONLY to ensure that all players are mature and **literate.** Writers must have a strong handle of the English language's mechanical and grammatical conventions. While we do allow for ERP, even extensively so, this isn't a server where you merely meet up and fuck people in your DMs. You must be willing to engage with the canon and play in the server.

Le Cirque de Rêves is a roleplay writing server with a supernatural fantasy circus-themed storyline. Due to its mature content, we only accept writers and characters that are over 18 years old. Characters may be Performers, Crew, or Guests of the Circus. We accept OC characters and are LGBTQ+ and BIPOC inclusive.

Inspiration comes from supernatural and circus-themed novels such as Water for Elephants, The Night Circus, Where Dreams Descend, etc.
