We are an 18+ only Pokemon based, literate, closed roleplay group for an original region and premise.
We are just starting out so any activity checks will be cursory at best.

The premise:
An island region to be transcribed some many centuries in the future from it's long-gone era as the Isle of Monsters.
For, in it's day, the bonds between human and Pokémon were yet burgeoning and immensely fragile.
Thus 'monsters' was as proper a title as any for the unknown and dangerous, which the isle presented an abundance of both and more.

Some mysterious barrier holds the isle, allowing for the various extreme biomes within it to co-exist nearly side-by-side, as well as the phenomenon newly known as 'prana.'
That which gave to the regions namesake it's 'monsters.' As troublesome to live with as humans of the time had already considered Pokémon to be, the isle provided for them new forms.

Through the bond created between tamer and Pokémon could a flow of 'prana' between the two begin to exchange and with it did Pokémon upon the isle acquire the ability to become 'human' themselves.
These monsters made human, retaining no small number of characteristics of their original selves, are known as 'Yokai.'

Many Pokémon upon the isle now seek to form bonds with tamer's in order to acquire this ability, and the isle's mythical overseer's are eager to facilitate in what many hope is to become a flourishing new region based on connection and understanding between humans and Pokémon.

After the second collapse of The Wolves of Chernobyl, now weakened and leaderless, the once-proud protectors seemed defeated. The young look to the adults around them for answers, guidance, and a way forward.

Stricken with grief after the loss of his mate, the Arms Dealer Church begins to fall ill and, through a feverish haze, finds the answer to his pack's issues. His religious past is brought back full force and has begun to reformat his little group. Will they bow before a wolf who believes God chose him? Or will distrust and misfortune push the remaining guardians out of their once adored home?

While the city struggles, the Riverlands wolves find themselves targeted by Church's religious delusions. Boarders have been marked, threats have been hurled, and the once lively pack finds itself unsure of every step. Suspicion runs high, and tension is thick; it's only a matter of time before this precarious balancing act falls apart.

They look to their leader Nimskia, dubbed the Devil Queen by their religious neighbors, for answers. Despite her discomfort with leading, the Queen attempts to reform and rebuild her pack to its former glory before the packs fractured. Back when life was easier.

Hostilities rise, and grotesque mutants threaten what little harmony is left. Only the universe knows what will happen next...

But now, something new has begun.

An exorcist attacks her own, screaming of demons.
A hallucinating sinner collapses in the street.
Both cough up the same black, writhing parasite.

Two realms. One horror.
Each blames the other.
But no one knows the truth.

Almost as if they're sizing you up.... but, of course, that's crazy talk... right...?

We are a *NEW* period piece server that's set in the mid mod era—just after the civil rights movement; WITH plenty of changes, of course. We are a LIT community, no semi-lits or one-liners allowed around here, sorry! Our staff members are plenty active and so is our community. Speaking of this community, it's built off of our completely original storyline with plenty of opportunities for major plot relevant roles. We have character *freedom*, which is a rare commodity in servers that our staff members are used to. Our plot is mystery based! It's well thought out and only the owners *really* know the whole picture, so our staff can join in on the fun, too!

What's more is that we are a SFW server. As a roleplayer, I have been consistently frustrated with the lack of SFW servers in my age range. I wanted something of substance. Something that was much more than just surface level. Which is why I've started this server. Not only is it a safe space for those who crave SFW scenes, but it's also been in the works for the past two years, life has gotten in the way time and time again and now it's finally time for it to be open to the public. You're a mutant in earth-39641(not a real universe, made up for this server!) and have been struggling with your mutant powers for most of your life, or you are just now discovering them. Either way, Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is your home and you spend your time among the X-Men.

In this world, dark forces are brewing behind the scenes. Legislation regarding mutants is being passed, more often than not restricting their freedoms, and everyone has the mutant problem on their mind.

This server takes place in a universe/multiverse separate from any specific cannon. Its cannon is its own, though we will be pulling primarily from the films. Personally, I am very interested in exploring a world that functions much like the setting we see in "Logan" with a more grounded feel, though we will likely be pulling character backgrounds and histories from comics, other movies, etc to fill in blanks.

As for the timeline, this rp will be taking place during the beginning of the fall semester of 2015. Keep that in mind when filling out your character sheet, as well as when rping, since the culture and technology will be from about ten years ago.
