ABOUT ALENTIA'S SANCTUARY...

Alentia’s Sanctuary exists in a world almost entirely similar to modern day Earth. Though magic exists as part of nature and an accepted way of life for most people within the magical community, a population of several hundred million worldwide, the average nonmagical human (or ‘mortal’) finds virtually no deficit in their life for lack of magic.
The Sanctuary exists in a “pocket dimension”, or underground society, away from the public eye. It has been described as being “everywhere and nowhere at once”, and although this is not necessarily true, it is often considered the easiest way to describe it. Within the bounds of the Sanctuary, compasses and GPS systems meant for use outside of the Sanctuary cease to operate as they should, and there is no place on Earth the Sanctuary could possibly exist.

The magical culture within Alentia’s Sanctuary necessitates complete secrecy after the effects of a war centuries past, and those in power within this underground society do their best to keep things under complete wraps. In the last several hundred years in the mortal world, magic has been kept from mortals by way of the community’s Veil, an illusory covering of all magic that exists to hide magic from mortals, altering senses and memories to maintain the status quo of a nonmagical, unexceptional, world, place, and experience.

Facility-12, codenamed Lazarus, was never meant to fail. Built deep beneath the earth, it existed to contain, study, and exploit anomalies that could not be allowed to roam this world. On December 30th, 2057, Containment collapsed. Power failed. Communications went dead. Before answers could be found, the facility was sealed from the outside world entirely.

Now, seven months later, those still alive are trapped inside.

Operation Stray-Dog is a character-driven roleplay server set within a sealed research facility slowly falling apart. The upper layers have become crowded, politicized, and tense. The lower layers are dark, flooded, unstable, or worse. Survival is no longer guaranteed by protocol, rank, or clearance. It depends on who you trust, what you’re willing to risk, and how far down you’re willing to go.

Players take on the roles of former personnel, expendables, engineers, researchers, guards, or civilians caught in the lockdown. Alongside sentient anomalies that now walk freely among the population, their past containment replaced with uneasy coexistence. Factions have formed. Supplies are limited. Exploration into the lower layers is dangerous, and often final.

Set within the universe of Zenless Zone Zero, this server aims to have a more grounded setting in order to work alongside the Canon presented while allowing our writers - both new and old - creative freedom for their own characters while still staying within the bounds set by Canon! We allow writers to claim Canon characters, and as implied previously, OCs! While the server allows its writers to chase after plots of their own making, there IS an established endgame for an overarching, server-wide plot that allows anyone to contribute to the story. While the canon story for ZZZ's plot continues, characters new and old will uncover a dangerous plot that endangers the remnants of humanity at large. While the threat of the Exaltists presented in canon have thrust them into the limelight, a separate section of that faction move in the shadows, conducting experiments concerning the very nature of Hollows and Ethereal themselves. Their ultimate goal? To find the reasons Hollows form and force it into the world beyond them, acting as a catalyst for more of the Hollows to spawn and consume what remains of humanity in order to bring about the Age of Hollows. It's up to our writers to stop these Exaltists from finding and laying claim to the Hollow Heart.

Our server takes place just a few weeks past the death of the Red Ring leader Shroud, killed by the Hands of Robert Robertson and after a more recent server event he's now publicly known as Mecha Man.

The Phoenix program is expanding making room for new teams and Hero's in the SDN (this means OC's are welcome and many cannon are still open!)
Darkness also looms over Torrance as a new threat takes over the red ring and expands with more criminals as well.

Join is to be a Hero? a dispatcher? be a Villain! Join the pheonix program or live more casually as a Citizen trying to survive the dispatch world. We still have several cannon characters open as well with fairly consistent activity and constant events to keep the worldbuilding alive.

OCs must keep to the power scale of Dispatch cannon and nothing stronger than Blonde Blazer, you can be super just not god tiered.

Dispatching Missions announced at random, weekly and biweekly events as well to keep things active and everyone equally involved.
