We are an 18+ only Pokemon based, literate, closed roleplay group for an original region and premise.

The premise:
An island region to be transcribed some many centuries in the future from it's long-gone era as the Isle of Monsters.
For, in it's day, the bonds between human and Pokémon were yet burgeoning and immensely fragile.
Thus 'monsters' was as proper a title as any for the unknown and dangerous, which the isle presented an abundance of both and more.

Some mysterious barrier holds the isle, allowing for the various extreme biomes within it to co-exist nearly side-by-side, as well as the phenomenon newly known as 'prana.'
That which gave to the regions namesake it's 'monsters.' As troublesome to live with as humans of the time had already considered Pokémon to be, the isle provided for them new forms.

Through the bond created between tamer and Pokémon could a flow of 'prana' between the two begin to exchange and with it did Pokémon upon the isle acquire the ability to become 'human' themselves.
These monsters made human, retaining no small number of characteristics of their original selves, are known as 'Yokai.'

Many Pokémon upon the isle now seek to form bonds with tamer's in order to acquire this ability, and the isle's mythical overseer's are eager to facilitate in what many hope is to become a flourishing new region based on connection and understanding between humans and Pokémon.

Be it a student rising up to be the greatest huntsman of all time or a villain looking for their next score, no role is out of reach. Your work may very well shift the fate of the story. Rewrite the canon story to a better one and make it your own. To that end, server owner here to say if you want to completely change a canon character to be practically unrecognizable, I fully encourage it.

The story is in its early stages, stirrings in Vale's shady underworld shaking the general perception of Vale's safety to its core. Grimm have managed to make it far too close to the city, seemingly all set in motion by no more than a few goons with some extra funding. The fall of the world happened in the summer of 2020 due to a rapid outbreak of a virus called the Interitus virus, it's likely believed amongst many doctors and scientists that it is a sort of "super rabies" that has a high rate of infection and it's mortality rate has surpassed that of some of the deadliest plagues that humanity has encountered. The virus had originally broken out in a rural town in Michigan USA, where it was misdiagnosed as a new version of the cold flu. Before long nearly half of Michigan had been quarantined off. The quarantine had worked for a while as FEMA would airdrop vaccines to survivors inside the quarantine zone to help quell the rapidly spreading infection, but that would only last about a month before the infection would rapidly mutate making the vaccine almost practically useless against the infecion and managed to break through the militaries quarantine. As another quarantine would be set up vaccines would be dropped and the infection adapting again and breaking through, this would repeat. Scenes like this would pop up throughout the US and 3 months after Michigan it would also start popping up in other countries.

Apoc, short for Apocalypse, follows the playout of the Third World War from the perspective of groups of survivors in the former state of Pennsylvania, now known as the Commonwealth Wasteland Evacuation Zone. Since the war's outbreak in Spring 1965, Soviet operators have seized massive swaths of New Jersey, and have snaked their tendrils into The Keystone State. Gather your arms and forge your future.

The year was 2130. Humanity has discovered magic. Other races appeared and humans were being driven toward extinction. In desperation they created weapons that were powerful against magical races. Humans reclaimed dominance and kept it through calculated terror—any clan that grew too large had half its people wiped out before it could become a true threat.

The other races realized survival required unity. The first mixed clan was formed, pooling the strengths of many peoples. When humans attacked it, the clan not only survived but forced the attackers back. Word spread. More mixed clans rose, becoming towns, then cities, then fortified bases with their own armies. The War of the Races began.

In the midst of that war a powerful Darkling named Thargg decided the best way to hurt humanity was to strike at the heart of its cities. He built a school on the outer rim of one of the larger human cities and cloaked it with his power for thirteen years. When he finally revealed the Thargg Institute, the humans attacked at once. Teachers and students fought hard, but the school was burned to the ground.

They rebuilt. This time Thargg refused to drop the cloak until a Head Master strong enough to defeat him in battle took control. That man was Head Master Azthar, a powerful demon who understood war. The School was revealed again. It survived the assault. Reputation followed. The strongest of every race came to teach and train there, becoming both academy and war base.

When Azthar died, chaos returned. The school began to lose ground and the strongest teachers fought among themselves for control of its army. The Darkling returned, appointed Head Mistress Mara, and restored order. From that day a tradition was born. Whenever needed, the darkling returns to appoint a new head master.

It is currently ruled by Head Mistress Kalie.
